Products Description of Lanthanum Nitrate CAS#10277-43-7
Lanthanum nitrate hexahydrate is a colorless crystalline substance with a characteristic nitrate smell. It remains generally stable under normal room-temperature conditions, but decomposes upon heating, releasing toxic nitrogen oxide gases. The compound readily dissolves in water and exhibits hygroscopic behavior, absorbing moisture from the air.

Product Application of Lanthanum Nitrate CAS#10277-43-7
Lanthanum nitrate is widely applied in the manufacture of optical glass, gas lamp mantles, and phosphors, and is also used as a preservative. It serves as an additive for ceramic capacitors and as a catalyst in petroleum refining. In addition, it is utilized in the production of lanthanum–tungsten and lanthanum–molybdenum cathode materials, three-way catalysts, petrochemical processing, gas mantle additives, hard alloys, and refractory metal industries.
