Product Application of DMI CAS#80-73-9

1,3-Dimethyl-2-imidazolinone is used as a solvent in a wide range of organic synthesis reactions. It is also applied in studies of the photochemical formation of stable functionalized hydrogenated silane biradical transition-metal complexes from arylsilanes. As an inert dipolar solvent, it is frequently used as a safer alternative to the carcinogenic solvent HMPA.

As a ketone-type organic compound, 1,3-Dimethyl-2-imidazolinone serves as both an organic solvent and a chemical intermediate, and is widely utilized in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes, liquid crystal materials, and other related fields.
